About Us

Mark MulkeyWelcome to the official website of the Greater Pittsburgh Mustang Club. We at the GPMC hope you find some useful information here. Our goal is to provide knowledge, encouragement and support to those who choose to own, preserve and enjoy Mustangs of any vintage.

The Greater Pittsburgh Mustang Club (GPMC) is a non-profit organization that was established in 1986.  It is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Ford Mustang automobiles of all ages.  The GPMC strives to be an accurate source of technical and historical information about Mustangs.  Currently we have over 150 memberships with more than 200 Mustangs, in addition to antique and special interest vehicles.  Our members live in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, and West Virginia, and range in age from the 20s through the 80s.  As a Regional Club of the Mustang Club of America (MCA), we are working hard to become one of the premier Regional MCA Clubs.  The GPMC has won an MCA President’s Award in each of the past seven years – a very noteworthy accomplishment.

As a Regional Club of the Mustang Club of America, we also participate in regional and national MCA sponsored events. Our annual All Ford-Powered Car Show brings together those from beyond the Mustang community to share the enjoyment of the automotive hobby. And the cruises we conduct during the summer bring together devotees of all makes and models.

Every June or July we participate in a weekend-long rally of over four Mustang Clubs in our area called Can-Am.  Four clubs from Ohio, Pennsylvania and Ontario take turns hosting the event on a rotating basis.  The event was hosted by the GPMC in Pittsburgh in 2013, the year in which the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix honored Mustang as their Marque of the Year in recognition of the Mustang’s 50th anniversary.   We coordinated the Can-Am rally to take place over the PVGP race weekend, and were proud to have one of the largest turnouts ever of a Marque car, and we helped to raise a record amount of money.

As a volunteer organization, the GPMC depends on its members to organize and help with events.  We have established a “Pony Point” system to reward members for their help with Club activities.  In addition to serving the local and national Mustang communities, the GPMC has supported numerous charitable organizations.  During the past thirteen years we have donated over $16,000 to many local and national charities through our fundraising events.

I hope you’ll come to one of our meetings or events and get to know us better. Thanks for stopping by, and we hope to have the opportunity to meet you in person.
