The Spring Stampede was held on May 14. Tim “the Tour Man” Baker planned a scenic drive to points of interest east of Pittsburgh. . . but Mother Nature had other plans. Through the rain and cold (luckily, the snow held off until the next day!) we persevered and enjoyed the day together. Thank you, Tim!
Our day started with a roundup in Monroeville.

- Tim’s Mustang is surrounded by members as the incline starts its descent
- This is where cars enter to ride the inclined plane to the top
Our next stop was to pick up lunch in Portage. What we thought was a welcome for the GPMC was actually a cheer for the local sports team.

At the Subway store in Portage
We had lunch at a picnic pavilion at the famous Horseshoe Curve in Altoona.

- A train coming around the Horseshoe Curve
- Anita made three kinds of cookies to share – oatmeal chocolate chip, peanut butter, and sugar. They were delicious and much appreciated!
- Thanks, Anita!
