50th Anniversary Celebration in Charlotte

Two huge celebrations were held in Las Vegas and Charlotte to mark the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang.  The Greater Pittsburgh Mustang Club sent a large contingent to join in the festivities in Charlotte April 17-20.  As photos and stories come in, they will be added.  Additional photos can be viewed on  a second page  and a third page.

The first set of photos is courtesy of Tim Baker.  Thanks, Tim!

We could not all make it to Charlotte, so some participated in a 50th birthday tour to a local winery.  You can see those photos here.

Dwight Hutton sent in photos, including this one taken of a display on the infield.  This is the first Mustang Pace Car from the 1964 Indianapolis 500.

The next set of photos come from Scott Unger, showing GPMC members at the barbeque and Tim resting in his Mustang.  Thanks, Scott!

These photos from Scott are from the group’s visit to the Air Museum.

The next set of photos come from Toni Glover, taken the first day in Charlotte.  Thanks, Toni!

The second set from Toni documents the group’s trip to Penske Racing.
